GUIDED HISTORIC DOBBIN HOUSE TOURS
Enjoy a guided, hour-plus tour of the Dobbin House, the oldest house in Gettysburg, built in the same year that the United States of America was founded - 1776! This popular and highly-rated presentation highlights the house and frontier life of Scots-Irish immigrants Rev. Alexander Dobbin and his wife, Isabella. Step back in time to know Rev. Dobbin- farmer, minister, theologian, educator and community leader, who helped shape the course of history in what is now Gettysburg and Adams County. His landmark stone home spans four centuries of American history, from the Revolutionary War and the creation of the United States, through the bloody Civil War, through the 20th Century Diorama Museum, to today's life as a restaurant/tavern. A $5.00 gratuity per person is appreciated for our tour guides.
Note: The tour covers three floors and six staircases.
